NWR: I need some hugs...

Ok so I normally don't vent or complain but I had the fu%$ing creepiest thing happen to me yesterday

Making a LONG story short.....I've been getting weird texts from a # in CT that I have no idea who the guy is...just always asking to hang out and wants to know me better....it was always implied he knew me. I've told this guy to leave me alone everytime he texts me. Well yesterday I get a call from the number and its the guys wife!!! Obviously she assumes I'm having some affair with this guy....So after talking with her, I find out he is a carpet installer....YUP THAT'S RIGHT A CARPET INSTALLER...Well some of you know I just bought a house and guess what, just had my carpet installed a few weeks ago!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its the weird a$$ guy who installed my carpet.....Now I'm flipping out bc this guy was in my home, knows where i live and have been sending this texts to me. So I went to the police dept, nothing they can do. Now I am filing a formal compliant with the company bc this is soooooooooo wrong....I'm so speechless that this guy would do this.

I dunno...just needed to vent a little and tell you ladies to be careful about who you let in your home.

omg...im so sorry this happened to you...that is really scary. can you take it any further, like call the cops on this guy for harassing you and such? or do you think he'll leave you alone and u can just drop it? i'd be frightened too because there are weirdos out there and he really seems like one!

the police suck with things like this. My psycho ex did things like that after I dumped him and they wouldnt do anything. Its scary because people are crazy and they can do crazy things.

that is insane. Maybe now that his wife called you she will confront him with it too and it will stop it.

Thats ridiculous that the police cant help you but you did the right thing by filing a complaint with the company he works for.

thanks girls....yea the police can't do anything unless he gets violent or vulgar in the texts....i just can't believe it, i never said more then 2 words to this guy while he was in my home installing the carpet....there are definitely some crazy people out there.

OMG that is creeepy.... I am so sorry you are dealing with this... Good thing you went to the cops I would have to. I seriously would change your locks too I mean I doubt he has a key but I wouldn't take any chances...

yea she believed me...she also said she was going to delete my number but i think i am going to have to change it anyway, maybe sometime over the weekend.

ugh that is terrible...are you home alone alot? There is a janitor at my job who i think has an unhealthy obsession with me so i know how you feel..just be more cautious when you go into your house and do not open the door to anyone unless you are expecting someone...

You can't get a restraining order against him??? Oh mama that is scary and I am sooooooo freakin sorry you have to go through this. Can you seek legal advice, from maybe a lawyer friend or something?
