NWR I'm fasting

NWR I'm fasting

At first I thought this was TMI but If I figured if I can't share it with you lovely ladies, then who else!?!

I'm fasting this week for diet purposes and to re-train my body to eating healthy. The only thing I'm consuming is a liquid concoction and steamed veggies once a day. I'm only on day one so I'm still in pretty good spirits partly due to a lot of meditation and keeping my mind busy. Has anyone else ever done this? Any tips?

Sorry Goldie for hijacking your thread

I was on weight watchers and lost 12 pounds, but then finals hit and I stopped attending my meetings. I need to get back on it, I just need to be encouraged/ beaten in submission!

I have to agree with Barb too. I'm 5'3' and about 138 lbs and I need to get my a$$ back to WW. I lost 40 lbs on it the first time... and gained some of it back.

For me, the flex plan works when I FULLY commit to it. I have to journal, attend weekly meetings the whole 9 yards or I won't lose... so after my celebration next weekend it's back to WW for me. I need to fit into a wedding dress.

09'er crashing...

Back in 2005 when I was heavy and frustrated the first thing I did was the cabbage soup diet. That was a detox diet and I lost 10 pounds in 7 days! It was amazing. One tip I can offer you is to take a multivitamin so your body doesn't feel weak and to drink plenty of water. Following this diet, I worked my A$$ off working out and staying on track by doing a hi protein diet. All the carbs I consumed were of whole grains only. I lost almost 40 pounds and kept it off. It's never a diet- it's really a way of life. I pig out from time to time and make sure I stay on track. You'll be fine if you stick to it and make sure you eat enough veggies! They keep you full- that's my secret!

Re: NWR I'm fasting

thanks for the support teri, my mom used to be on weight watchers and the point system really worked for her. I think i may try to incorporate that lifestyle of eating habits after my fast. Unfortunately my metabolism has gone down since i graduated last year because i'm not as active. Hopefully it'll pick back up when i start school again next month.

In the mean time, i'm awfully hungry. time to go meditate again.

cheers to buff brides

Edited to thank everyone!
thanks to everyone who responded and intends to respond, i really appreciate the support.

Good luck even though you don't look like you need a diet AT ALL!
