I ordered a package from Amazon.com and they shipped it via UPS. I've been waiting for this package to arrive for days. I wasn't home when they shipped the first time so they left me a notice. I waited 2 more days and got my dad to watch out for it but still they did not come. I finally called today to see what's taking so long and they said it was delivered! Since I never got it, I told UPS this and they said someone called UPS on Thursday and asked for it to be delivered to another address. (I certainly did not call to change the delivery address to an address I don't even know!) I have a feeling I've somehow been scammed! I don't know what to do. UPS suggested I tell Amazon.com I never got it so I emailed Amazon.com... I looked all over their site and there is not helpline/telephone number around! This is so fustrating! Any one been in this situtation??? Advice??

I had a problem last week with amazon..I ordered a book..checked the shipping address twice because after 12 days I didnt get it....( it was from a person selling one used) After 18 days I emailed the person, they said it was just that day re-delivered to them unsendable address...I went on to Amazon and saw my correct address there...emailed the person again saying there was a mistake, he said he checked again and I was wrong...went BACK onto Amazon to see the order detail and there was my OLD address...I checked it 3 times and it was correct....well lo and behold I ordered the same book again and it's been about 10 days now and it's not here?

I've always had problems with UPS. For me, it's FedEx or USPS only from now on.

charlotte227, I wouldn't blame Amazon.com. I have ordered from them before and previously my packages arrived fine.
I just don't get why UPS would allow a random person (not the receiver of the package) to call up and change the delivery location. That just doesn't make any sense to me.
Someone clearly called UPS with my tracking number (no one I know)changed the delivery address! UPS has the name and a record of who signed for it. Yet they don't do anything about it even though I complained to them. They told me they need to deal with the sender directly.
Although Amazon is shipping me the new package, I feel the whole situtation is kind of unfair. Whoever made that call to change the delivery address get a free mixer worth close to $200 with no consequences. I don't know how these people got my tracking number unless they took the delivery paper thing that UPS leaves on my door I wasn't home to receive the delivery and called them. I don't get how people can be so sleezy.
All I can say is I'm relieved I'm getting my package redelivered but what a pain!
