I have a question. I have finally gotten back in to a diet and fitness routine. I have been going to the gym 4x a week (cardo and weights) and am following the WW diet. I have been doing very well and have been very disciplined..for once . My clothes feel looser and my waist a bit smaller. However, when I weigh myself the number has only budged a few pounds. Now, are inches more revealing when it comes to weight loss?? Or am I giving myself too much credit since that number on the scale hasn't moved much??
Help, I don't wanna give up !

Re: NWR - inches vs. pounds
Better to lose inches. I mean your weight may not be changing much because you are gaining muscle which weighs more then fat. The muscle is what is burning the fat to help you lose the inches. So WAY better tol ose inches then fat! GOOD FOR YOU! I know most people obsess about the scale but really its all in the inches you lose.

no that is good. since you are doing wieghts you are also building muscle so that is probably why you dont notice a major pound drop but you probably look much more fit and toned right?

definitely a good thing. I try not to even use the scale. I take my measurements every few weeks and judge by how my clothes fit me!

I think its better to lose inches. If your clothes are looser then you did lose weight, you probably aren't seeing it on the scale because you are also gaining muscle from the weights. As long as you see a difference in your clothes, you know you are losing it somewhere and that's all that matters. Don't worry about the numbers. Keep up the good work!
