NWR- interesting artical

Me and 2 other woman I work with were just in a discussion about the stupid Imus thing. I am white, one of them is phillipino, and the other is jamaican. We were just discussingthe racist as well as sexist impact it did or didn't have. The jamaican woman found this artical this morning and said she found it very interesting and thought it showed some valued points. I just wanted to pass it along as the 3 of us are curious of what people think of it.

I think it has a valued point. While these men think they are helping, they might not be doing what is in peoples best interest. They have probably been trying to help for so long, that they may have lost site of what their main goal was.

That is most certainly an interesting article.

My co-worker (who is black) and I were discussing this this morning. No, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are no Martin Luther King Jr. or Malcolm X. In my opinion, they have taken certain stances with the underlying that thought that it will further their political careers. Sometimes instead of helping, I think they have a tendency to do the opposite. Sometimes the efforts towards integration and eradication of racism do the opposite by pitting races against each other and by pointing fingers.
