NWR - ipod

So, now that I'm going to the gym on a regular basis I really want an ipod.

What do I need to get? How much? What brand to stay away from? Smallest size to get away with? Can I get it in purple?

TIA

I have a classic and bought it on amazon. It was like 20 cheaper. I wanted to watch movies on it so I wanted the higher gb but if you are just gonna do music then get a nano.

It depends how many songs you want to put on it. Ipod nano is awesome (thats what i have).

but if you only want like 200 songs..get the shuffle.

(and ALWAYS buy the warranty!! I've gone through 3 of them right now- all covered under the warranty, including when i accidentally washed it!!)

If you get your ipod through apple they're really good with customer service, so if something happens to it, they'll usually fix it for you or replace it without a problem. I know that you might be able to save a few dollars if you get it through another store, but then you can't bring it to the apple store to get it fixed - just something to think about.

I love my new nano! I definitely recommend it--it even has radio!
