Is it normal for female puppies to hump things?! My ten week old puppy has gone quite fond of her stuffed turtle toy and my Snuggie Is it normal for her to start this that early?!?

my dog humps my sisters dog all the time... they are both female... its about dominance... it has very little to do with the sex of the dog

Yes...female dogs hump too. My baby girl is 4 now and she's been a humper since about 10 months old. Good times!!

yes, my puppy would do it sometimes when she played with a certain toy...i called it her boyfriend bc she would only hump when playing with that toy
eta: she hasnt really done it since she was spayed

lololol yes... FH's Uncle's female dog humps thing... she was humping everyone @ a family gathering last night

my vet said it's completely normal. my dog started humping things when she was a puppy, and she is spayed, almost 2 years old, and still sometimes humps things.
another vet told me that when female dogs do that, its a sign of dominance. and my dog definitely likes to try and be the dominate one. lol

soo funny you ask this. my maltese is 7 years old. She was spayed when she was a puppy. She humps her bed several times a day!! In fact, the only way she eats , is if she humps !!
She will grab a couple of kibbles and bring it over to her bed, chew them, then folds her bed in half and hops on !!!! then she will hump for a few seconds...run back and get some more kibble...and the process repeats !!! She is soo weird lol , but i love her. It is hysterical
