NWR: Is this a good area

Hey gals. FH and I were browsing the real estate ads and found a nice home 10 minutes from the Ronkonkoma Station 5 minutes away from the LIE at exit 61. My question is whether this is a good safe area? I am totally unfamiliar with Suffolk.

exit 61 is the holbrook area I believe.

IMO, some parts are nicer than others. Its mostly Sachem Schools.

Best bet would be to drive around the neighborhood and see if you like it!

I am vaguely familiar with that area. What town is the house in? FH is from that area originally, I can find out info from him for you!

Yeah, FH went to Sachem schools, and now teaches at one of the High Schools. It's a really large district, but it has a lot of opportunities for the students.

It's not a 'bad' area, just not the prettiest. Convenient shopping and close to Lake Ronkonkoma. Sachem schools-it's definetly a good starter area-that's around where we are looking.

I grew up on Avenue A, I think it's a lovely area!
Definitely Sachem Schools.
