NWR - Just annoyed!

I'm getting married in a little less than 2 years & I'll be 23 when I get married....And I'm having a problem with my boss at work, who has commented a good 3-4 times that I'm WAY too young to be even thinking about getting married. What is a nice way to respond to that!?

Well how about this.... we stopped for a drink before my friends bachelorette party at some Margarita bar in NYC. There were 4 of us... all of us are engaged and the bartender asked how old we all were. We're all 24... not only did he tell us we were all too young to get married, but he said we'd all be divorced within a few years!

No tip for him!

I got that as well. I was 23 when I got married last October and people said, 'You have your whole life ahead of you...' I simply responded with, 'Yea I know and I want to spend it with my husband.'

Sometimes the best way to combat something like that is to question the comment, such as 'why would you say that?' 'What would bring you to that conclusion?' - Maybe by putting him on the spot to justify his comment, he may think twice before he says something else.
