NWR: Just curious...do you have problem with DH/FH if you go out with friends?

I don't. We always check with each other to see what is going on first. Even though sometimes we only get really one or two alone nights of nothing..we still like to do stuff with our friends.
A lot of my friends don't do this and are with each other 24-7.

I feel you still need to be you.

Like tonight H is going out with a buddy. I will go to gym. Tomorrow I am going out with friend. He will go to gym.
Next week I have a friend in town Wed. He may go out Thurs.

Thoughts?

it really depends on the person ...

FH and I have about one day per week where we hang out with our friends but we usually coordinate with one another to make sure that we both have plans together (so one of us isn't left home alone)

yeah we try but it doesn't always work...cuz firends have different schedules etc...

we always tell each other if we have plans... but we never make sure the other one has something to do during that time...

ETA: I enjoy my time alone if he goes out... he goes out A LOT more than I do...

No we usually don't have a problem, but most of our friends are couples so we all get together at the same time. On the nights I do have a girls night, DH will usually plan to go out with his friends that same night.

he only has a problem if I didnt notify him as early as possible. its the not letting him know part that makes him upset not the actual going out.
I hang out with friends a lot more than him, but he never has problems with it.

but honestly, I enjoying doing nothing w/DH than doing something fun with friends. we are that couple that 99% of the time are with each other

It's the nature of the beast that is a relationship!

We check with each other to make sure that nothing else is planned that day, but other than that, yes, we do hang with our friends separately at times. Sometimes together.

Never. We are really good with that. In fact we encourage it. It is healthy.

My situation is a little different because Fh seriously knows NO ONE here. I do still go out with my friends alone but I do like to include him when at all possible. And sometimes he goes out with my guy friends with out me but it is rare. We like us time but we also take our alone time.

No problem at all

Most of the time that I go out is on my own-especially during the summer because DH is racing.

We have no problems with going out on our own

Definitely not!! This is a pet peeve for me. FH and I have totally different work schedules, so when we both have off we will more than likely spend time together. But otherwise I'm not going to sit in the house and neither is he doing nothing.

We absolutely enjoy our alone time and when we do get to spend time together it is great. We've been together 11 years and she that for us we need to have alone time for the sake of our relationship...

No way!!! Kind of what you said in the OP, we check with each other first and then if nothing is going on we make plans with our friends. I think its only healthy to have a life outside of your home.

i asked him once if it was ok fif i wentout his response 'youre not an animal and im not your keeper. do what u want.' lol so yea.. we do our own thing often. its not normal to be with eachother 24/7

We don't have a problem with it, but he goes out a lot more than I do. He goes golfing, or to the bar to watch games. I'm more of a homebody than he is. But when I do go out, he's fine with it.

lol my DH said something REALLY similar a few years ago when we started dating. we've always spent time away from each other with our own friends and we also hang out together with mutual friends. i think time away from each other is def important.
