I am a Nook girl...I adore it I've heard good things about Kindle too though. I'm not sure there is a wrong choice between the two

Nook. Because you can download other e-books to it. With the Kindle, you can only buy and read Amazon e-books. But with the Nook, you could get e-books from the library, other e-books stores, etc. You can read anything in e-pub file format. Otherwise, they are very similar. They both use the same technology. Oh and the Nook has a touch screen on the bottom for navigating and the Kindle has a keyboard. Go try it out at a BN!

The nook is Barnes and Noble's E-Reader. I LOVE my nook. I don't like Amazon's practices with publishers, so I went for the nook instead. What's also great about it is that if it breaks (which FH's did), you can just bring it to the store and have them fix it. With the Kindle even if you buy it in Target you have to send it back to Amazon to get it fixed. I also like that you can put other books and any pdf file on there, although I THINK you can do the pdf thing with Kindle, too.

If you're going to get a nook, definitely get the 3G + WiFi one, not just the WiFi one. It's infinitely better because of the convenience.
