Soft paws! It works like a charm- if you can keep the little bugger from squirming all around!

Its best if you can have the vet do it the first time so they can show you how. That way you don't need to go back everytime you need to replace one.

Usually about 4-6 weeks...but some cats that use their nails more will lose them faster..or else some will actually bite them off.

I haven't tried soft paws, but I wanted to suggest getting a cardboard scratcher. They're really cheap (about $10 at Petco). Our cats love them (especially with the cat nip) and it keeps them from clawing at our furniture.

we used to use them! it took me holding my kitties and fh putting them on. they are a bit tricky b/c they are small and you have to put nail glue in them, then slide it on and hold in place. my cats would be bugged out by them for the first hour or so - trying to chew them off. then they woud either give up or got used to them.

we stopped using them b/c replacing them as they fell off got to be a pain and i had read on some animal site that infections can develop from them - kinda like it could happen with humans who continually have fake nails on.
