NWR--LANDLORDS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!! LONG--HAVE TO VENT!
OMG I am SOOO angry right now.
FH and I just recently moved out of an apartment where we lived for 2 years. The apartment was in an older building where lots of people were paying low rents. FH and I were the only apartment paying a high rent. ANYHOW, through the duration of us living there we had a HUGE roach problem that they refused to deal with at first (until I sent a certified letter threatening to call the Health dept) and also dealt with people leaving GARBAGE in the hallways (the super did this!!!!!!) and the halls being CONSTANTLY dirty. In fact, the week we were moving out there were two HUGE waterbugs dead in the hall that were NOT cleaned up!!!
anyhow, I gave them a months notice and FH and I cleaned the sh*t out of that apartment. We patched the walls (which were SO cheap that they wouldnt hold standard nails) and cleaned everything from top to bottom. My supers son did a walk through with us and told us everything looked good and that hed get us the security ASAP.
That was March 30th. since then we have reached out three times and all three times they tell us that they dont have an answer for us. Today FH called and the super STILL did not have an answer and she also claimed that there was new damage that she didnt mention before. she then told FH that she was disappointed that I didnt give her more notice and that she was angry about that. FH told her that we were disappointed with the condition of the building and she flipped telling him that one doesnt have to do with the other. she then told FH that shed maybe call us by the end of the month and FH demanded we get an answer sooner than that! He also requested we do another walk through and she refused!!!!
so FH left off telling her that if we didnt hear back from her that wed call our lawyer and she started screaming GO AHEAD--I DONT CARE!!!
AND TO THINK--this is a family friend of over 30 years!! My mom used to buy gifts for this ladies granddaughter for all holidays and THIS is how she treats us!!!!![]()
