NWR Lesson Plan ADDED

I need to do a lesson plan for 4th grade on the life cycle of a buttefly....i am stuck on the instructional objective can someone please help!

Is this good????

Using research materials provided, students will be able to explain the stages in a butterfly’s life cycle. At the end of the lesson, students will be able to make a presentation of the lifecycle of a butterfly to their class with 85% accuracy.

Then you need to have percentages included so you need to state how you are going to teach about butterflies (strategy), students will be able to understand the life cycle of the butterfly (purpose), by classroom instruction, modeling, etc (conditions). Students will...(what they are going to do--performance with 70% accuracy (criterion).

Well it depends on the population that you teach. I teach HS special ed and 70% is pretty generous of a percentage. I used it merely as an example and typically an objective needs a percentage that you are measuring.

I teach Elem Spec Ed.. and I've never seen that.. I guess it could depend on the district or school. She should ck with her school to see if they use a percentage. Iif you put that you have to have a way of measuring that.. i would think and she would have to show that in her lesson (??)

Exactly she needs to show some sort of objective that she can measure. I based my example on what she said whas asked with her.
