Updated: 1 hour, 12 minutes ago SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Lindsay Lohan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Santa Monica, Calif., early Tuesday morning. The arrest comes a week after the 21-year-old actress checked out of an alcohol treatment center.
Santa Monica police Sgt. Robert Hernandez says Lohan was behind the wheel of a vehicle pulled over just after 2 a.m. on Main Street near the Civic Center in Santa Monica. According to police, she was chasing another car when she was pulled over.
Officers determined she had been drinking and she was arrested for drunken driving and driving with a suspended license. During booking, cocaine was found in her pants pocket.
According to KNBC, Lohan refused to take a Breathalyzer test at the scene but failed a field sobriety test. She reportedly did agree to take the Breathalyzer exam at the Santa Monica police station, which registered a .12. The legal limit in California is 0.08.
Lohan was released on $25,000 bail. According to police, she will be arraigned on Aug. 23.
The actress recently spent more than a month at Promises rehabilitation facility in Malibu and she's already facing a drunken driving charge in Beverly Hills.
Lohan agreed to wear an alcohol-detecting anklet upon her release from the Promises treatment center in Malibu, but it was unclear if that played a role in the traffic stop.

She's 21 with all the money and drugs and attention one could ever need, want or whatever and she's got NO parents and no one to reel her in. She's still just a kid, I know you make your own bed and what not and she should know better but I kind of feel bad for her.

her mom should drag her back to Ny. after rehab she can't just go back to a normal life with the same people. no wonder she keeps drinking. she needs to leave the la lifestyle!
I'm sure living in a hotel isn't great either. anyway if she was smart she'd move back to Ny, and not go to parties everynight. it'll probably be easy to stay sober then!

exactly. She has been acting since she was so young. and all the time her parents were divorcing then her dad was in jail and her mom is off partying so she has no athority figure in her life to tell her no and to straighten her out. maybe her and her mom can get a 2 for 1 in rehab now.

I agree. her dad seems nuts he's always on the news around here. she lives in a hotel in cali, and who knows what her mom is doing. she should leave cali, relax in ny. in cali i'm sure she has people calling her everynight to go out & party. when people want to stop drinking they have to get away from the bad influences.

I have to disagree with you. I don't think it is show business that makes child stars turn out like this. I think if you have a good, solid family and teach your children right from wrong and keep them grounded, they will not turn out the way Britney, Lindsey and Paris turned out. There are 100's of stars who grow up and make a good living for themselves...
I truly believe that you are a product of your environment and if your family is strong, you will not have problems like this... this is just MY opinion!

I have the most solid family there is...but it still didn't mean I didn't get caught up in all of the fun/excitement. It's easy for young girls to get caught up in all of the buzz of Hollywood.

I agree, BUT, there was something within you that let you get crazy, but not go overboard. I think every single person has made some kind of bad judgement in their lives, but it is our upbringing and morals that help us out of whatever we are going through. I'm not sure if I am making sense... lol
