I own a 1 br co-op and the avg. bill was usually 48-60 a month.
This past month is was $168
Am I nuts or is this average for ppl?? (hope not!)
I understand air-conditioners up the bill but JEEEZEE! One is usually on when we sleep..that all!

Re: NWR: LIPA Bills $$$
You have to watch Lipa... They only check your meter every other month. So the other month they estimate your bill. Mine is always more when they estimate especially during the summer. That might be it. and if it is that you can call in your meter reading and they will send you a revised bill. I have a 3-4 bedroom house and my bill is usually 125 per mth.

I live in a 1 bedroom co-op and our bill was $46 this month. They do estimate. That happened to us recently and he hit the roof.

Re: NWR: LIPA Bills $$$
We live in a 1 BR apt and it is usually about $130 in the winter and close to $200 in the summer (with 3 AC's running). We're also over my parents garage so the electricity for that is included in our bill. (It's a separate building from their house with it's own electrical connection)
