NWR Lnar Eclipse?

How many Brides To Be took a peak at the lunar eclipse last night? FH and I watched it together. It was sort of romantic watching the moon and each drinking a glass of wine.

We had a good evening. Anyone else?

Re: NWR Lnar Eclipse?

didn't even know about it-- that would have been cool to watch.. I love that stuff. I still remember in elementary school making these special viewing boxes to watch a solar eclipse.. after all that- we still were not able to see it..

We didn't make the 'special viewing box' but what I didnt understand was they made us go outside and look at the ground. Like, what is even the point?

Re: NWR Lnar Eclipse?

Ok-- it's coming back to me-- well, you can't look directly at it- or you'll go blind or something.. So, these boxes were like shoeboxes with black construction paper- and a little teeny tiny hole like- the size of a pin- to look through, or basically- to see the shadow or something..

On my terrier website someone posted this picture of the eclipse. This photo was taken from Oregon.

Re: NWR Lnar Eclipse?

After seeing The Wizard of Oz with Dark Side of the Moon synched up to it (for those that don't know their are several elements of the album and movie in synch... kinda freaky) we saw the eclipse as soon as the movie let out. Cue the Twilight Zone theme...
