NWR: Looking for a new gym

I currently live in Boston but am moving back to LI in June. I belong to an all-women's gym here now and I love it. I'm really sad to have to find a new gym....

so, any suggestions on women only gyms in Nassau? (near New Hyde Park)?
or even a co-ed gym that's just awesome?

I go to North Shore Fitness in East Meadow. It's coed, but I love it there. It is so clean and they have a huge locker room with a steam room and showers. They have a ton of equipment & I've never had to wait for a machine once. They also offer a lot of classes. Little pricey but well worth it.

If you want girls only, there is a Women's Domain in Westbury or Hicksville I think.

NYSC in Hicksville opened last year and is really nice.

i haven't been there but I hear great things about LA fitness which is in Lake Success (about 5 min from NHP). It is coed. there is also a new gym that opened up in Garden City on Franklin, but I am not sure of the name

My FH goest to this LA fitness he loves it you can do just about anything tehre and its open 24 hours a day (Squash, racketball, basketball courts and i think even a pool). I would definitely look into it

I go to Xsport fitness which is at Roosevelt field mall in garden city.

i go to la fitness.. its 'lake success' but its also considered NHP.. its right next to LIJ.

I LOVE IT. if u have any specific questions let me know

FH and I go to NY Health and Raquet Club in Great Neck on Middle Neck Road and Great Neck Road. There's generally NO lines for any cardio machines. Place is nice and clean.
