Re: NWR: Lost
lol I'm a big fan but I started watching as they air this season. Before that I had watched the box sets and let me tell you, they spoil the crap out of you. Having to wait a week to see what happens next is like torture

do you girls think they are really dead?
Absolutely, 100%, NO.
My theory is alternate timelines. COMIC BOOK STYLE! haha....Seriously, when Des forgot to push the button and brought down 815...it ripped a hole in time (See: A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking...which The Hostiles were readin several times this season!!)....anyway In one time they died and in the other they lived.
Either that or the Hanso Foundation staged the crash to divert attention from what they were really doing with these people.

I think the Hanso/Dharma people staged a fake plane so no one would look for them
thank goodness for Penny!
and for the boards - i never made a name i only lurked
you thought they were mean on HERE to newbies? I was petrified to post on there
although if i read one more Purgatory theory i was going to scream!
I was on Fuselage, Lostpedia, ABC, lostmedia. . . . all of them!

You and my FH agree about a staged crash.
I LOVE PENNY AND DESMOND!!! They are my favorite couple!
Yeah they were BRUTAL to newbies.....really silly stuff....before there I was on some Lord of the Rings boards and let me tell you THEY are even worse!! I posted on The Fuselage (as FertilityHollis) almost since they opened it, now I'm more of a day-after lurker haha....I was just tried of hearing all the 'regulars' beat a dead horse. Plus I just wanted to enjoy the show....I got caught up in all of the people who said that Lost 'lost it' which I thought was really kinda of silly and it's next to impossible argue a point with these people. This is just my opinion but obviously they have no idea how books are written because I feel like 'Lost' is wrtten the same way as a book as far as the overall storyline goes. Thinking of each episode as a chapter and each season as a volume I think really explains so of the pacing problems people have with the show. When the show first came out the producers would say that a major inspiration for 'Lost' was 'The Stand', so I read it and I kind of use that book as almost an outline for being patient with 'Lost' because it gives me faith that they are working toward SOMETHING and that something will be awesome. It's kind of silly but whatever...I'm much better talking about Lost is in person....I feel like I'm all over the place haha......
OMG I totally need to SHUT UP!!!

Oh i heard about that book - i should definitely get it!
I can honestly say i have enjoyed every single episode of LOST - obviously some more than others but still. . .
I think they are leading up to something - and since there are only two seasons left. . .it is only going to get better!!!
I have faith in the writers i DO think they know where all this is going ( even if i have no idea)
and i totally agree - i enjoy the show more NOW that i just look at the boards on Thursday for some insight!

Re: NWR: Lost
FH and i are obsessed with the show. we even have the theme as our ringtones, you know that scary mysterious noise.....
the show really lagged in the beginning of the season but its really picked up and i havent missed any episodes! i love the desmond/penny story, its our only connection to the outside world. i agree with the time travel theory, although a while back the writters swore there would be no time travel or pergatory themes, but who knows. i gotta read that book!

Re: NWR: Lost
the only episode I didn't like was the nina and pablo story line. I'm still trying to figure out what the point of it was, if there even was one. It just seemed like filler space to me and it made me because I feel it was a waste of an episode. Other than that, when everyone else was saying lost took a turn for the worse I was still glued to my tv.

i liked that episode because you got to see scenes of past episodes from a different perspective. for some reason, i dont think this is the last we will see of that story line, i am quite convinced it will be part of the puzzle later on.

Re: NWR: Lost
i'm totally obsessed with lost. for awhile I used to talk about it all the time. but none of my friends like lost so it got annoying, so I stopped. I'll have to watch the most recent episode on here, I missed it Wednesday.
