NWR- Master Cleanse

Has anyone done it?

My friend brags about it. She has done it and so have many of her co-workers, I am debating doing it for a few days only to jump start weight loss.

Any advise or tips?

NWR- Master Cleanse

I did. I lost like 10lbs in a few days. Ate my first meal post cleanse and gained 4 of the lbs back. By the end of the week (and i was following a diet plan) I had gained all the weight back. I personally would never recommend it, but some people sware by them.

NWR- Master Cleanse

I personally wouldn't do it. You're losing the weight by starving yourself for several days, essentially, so as soon as you start eating again, it'll all come back (as it did with Soon2BeMrsMango).

There really is nothing better than the classic exercise/healthy diet, or even Weight Watchers. I think there are better cleansing options out there if you want to get rid of the last stubborn 10 pounds, but I wouldn't do them to jump-start weight loss.

NWR- Master Cleanse

I might resort to it if I'm still a few lbs overweight right before my wedding. But I wouldn't do it to kick start your diet. Just pick a day and start counting calories (or points if you're doing WW). It may seem slower, but it's the better way.

I'm currently doing the '5 day liquid cleanse and flush' jus tto kind of detoxify. I'm still eating food though, just light stuff. Couldn't really find specific directions because all it says is 'drink with breakfast and before dinner.'

You could also try the Blueprint Cleanse. I might do that in a few months just to cleanse out again. I started tracking on myfitnesspal.com again too, it really helps if you don't want to pay for weight watchers.

I like Myfitnesspal.com and it's free

NWR- Master Cleanse

i have never done the master cleanse. if you want to kick start weight loss, try the dukan diet. it's sort of like south beach with less carbs. it's super easy. i did it a couple of years ago and the weight has not come back and i lost a few extra doing it before the wedding.

NWR- Master Cleanse

Honestly, those cleanses do more harm than good and you don't need to cleanse your body of toxins- that's what your liver is for. I agree with Lori, diet and exercise is the way to go.
If you want to speed things up, you could try Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem. I don't know how much you're looking to lose, but you could easily knock off 15 pounds before your wedding if you stick to it. They're nutritionally sound and you're not starving yourself. The Jenny food isn't as awful as you would think either, they have the best brownies and cheesecake!

NWR- Master Cleanse

I'm not 100% sure what 'Master Cleanse' is but I started a healthy lifestyle that includes shakes and actual eating for 26 days out of 30 and the other 4 days are a cleanse. I repeated this 30-day program twice and have lost and kept off 20 pounds.

I agree that just doing a random cleanse then going back to eating everything you ate before won't do anything, but you have to make it a lifestyle change and use it as a jump start to something bigger!
