NWR: Master Cleanse Diet

I just started it today and I was curious if anyone else is doing it.

Have you done it in the past?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I'm also using it for its intended purpose: as detox. I used to just eat fruit to detox and tons of water but I've done alot of reading up on it and the benefits seem wonderful. Having clarity. we'll see...

My Maid of Honor did it and swears by it. She regained her sense of small, if you can believe it! Good luck with the Master Cleanser!

What exactly is the diet?

My sister did it and said she lost 10lbs but of course that's water and you gain it back.

Robin from the Howard Stern Show did this a few years ago and lost a lot of weight. She gained it back now but that happens with a lot of people on different diets.

I've heard it really works but you don't eat anything and I couldn't just drink those drinks.

btw- yesterday was my first day trying it. I must say that the drink itself was great. however, by the evening I decided that I should probrably incorporate some light food into my diet. I had some fruit and chicken and mesculin salad greens. I just got off the scale and yesterday I was 177 and today I am 174.5

I am not saying that this is a perfect diet (it's a detox) and for me I need to tailor it to my current lifestyle which includes hours of grad classes at night.

I also am going to incorporate a gym routine. My fh is moving in with me in 3 weeks and I don't want to have the 10 pounds I've gained since december on when he arrives..

Also, I felt so good yesterday. Having only fluid during the day works well for me- I'm not sluggish. btw- I also drank extra water and tea to ensure that I wouldn't be dehydrated. Anyway, enough about me.

I had heard of this previously, but be careful because a lot of doctors caution people who do it because you don't get nutrients from this process.

I've done it. It was great. What questions do you have? DH and I did it together with my mom. She wound up doing it for an extra week!

That sounds like a diet for me. does anyone have the list of how it should be taken? I looked online but I couldn't find it, it only gives the products and books to get.

Re: NWR: Master Cleanse Diet

Ok so here's some info ...

www.therawfoodsite.com
www.mastercleanser.com

you also have to drink a laxative tea at bedtime (I use smooth move b/c it never gives me cramps)

in the morning you are supposed to do a salt water flush- but i won't b/c that's a laxative and I don't want all that salt to dehydrate me. so you can use the tea in the am and the pm rather than the salt water.

*also, I make this by the gallon in the morning and pour it in water bottles throughout the day.
look up the recipe for a gallon online.

*It's also known as the lemonade diet so look it up online. I also want to say make sure you read all the info you can find on it first. Do what works for you. I don't want to promote the cleanse --all I'm saying is that it seems to be working for me but I am also used to participating in liquid diets. just be careful and respond to your body.
