NWR Medical realted question...

Sooo in my other post I mentioned how I have to get a sonogram for my lumpy armpit... I call Zwanger Psiri and they can't find a location that can get me in before Tuesday because the place closest to me only has a male sonogram tech and apparently a guy can't do a sonogram when it involves boobs...

Soooo this kind of amazes me because what the hell does it matter???? if I have a male gynocologist and it doesn't bother me that he checks out my hoo-haa what do I care if a dude sees my boob? I'm pretty confident he didn't become a sonogram tech on the off chance he might get to scan a boob or two. Am I crazy??? The woman on the other end of the phone thought I was when I said I didn't care...

thats really strange! i go to a male gyno also and don't see why thats okay but a man can't do a sono of ur boobies?!?!!

i agree that i wouldn't care (i would allow myself to be fondled for a minute in order to get faster results!) ... BUT they are afraid of a lawsuit ...

i get laser hair removal and i always talk to the girls that do it ... whenever they have to laser a guy's um ... boy-parts, they have to have the manager sit in the room and watch so that the guy can't say that the laser technician touched him inappropriately.

it really su cks that the world has come to this ... it su cks even more that it sort of has to be this way :-/

No. Not crazy. I've never had a man give me an u/s, but I'd want to get it done asap, so probably wouldn't mind either.

Just wanted to let you know a few months ago, my gyno recommended i go check out a 'lump' that she felt just to be safe. I was sooo nervous and upset, but when I got the u/s, they couldnt even feel/see anything. It was nothing. I hope that is exactly what happens with you.

why do you have to go to Zwanger Pesiri ? you should be able to go anywhere. you might just have to pick up a new script from them to NAssau Radiology or something. just a thought... ive gotten ultrasounds and sonograms before and ive gone there.

Good idea... I am going to call them tomorrow and see if they can do that. Cigna is pretty common insurance they can't be the only ones who take it.

Is it possible it was just a preference of the dinosaur on the phone???? I'm definitely calling my doctor tomorrow to see if they can get me in somewhere else.
