So I got promoted and transferred into a different department a few months ago. Its been a really hard adjustment. This new department deals directly with our executives and board and I'm constantly doing really intense analysis that I have no idea how to even do.....so needless to say I've been making a ton of mistakes. But that's ok b/c everyone has been really helpful and completely understanding that I'm new to all this.
Here's my little vent: EVERYONE IN MY DEPARTMENT IS OUT TODAY!!!! Omg, I'm the only one here and this HUGE report goes out today to all the executives and now I need to answer questions. I'm so nervous and freaking out over here.
Ok really not a vent, more of a freak out. Done. I feel better.

you had to get promoted for a reason so i am sure you are fully capable of doing the task. just try to stay calm and focused.
if you are still nervous prior to submitting it, maybe you can give someone a call who you normally work well with to answer some last minute questions.

Christine, you're going to be 37 different kinds of awesome. You've got this under control or you wouldn't have gotten promoted in the first place. Take a deep breath, double check the report, and send it out and it's going to be the BEST. REPORT. EVER. So much better than all the other reports they've ever seen.
