I hate when the information they give you in your packet is so vague
When mortgage companies and banks tell you that a 30 day late payment is reported to the credit bureau, does that mean that they actually DO report you or does it just mean that they can?

Yes the bank will report it to the credit bureau. You never want to be late on your mortgage the worst on your credit report.
