NWR-Must vent at stupid hospital!!!!!-UPDATE

Ok, So I had some foot surgery 2 years ago.

Yes, 2 years ago!!!!!!!

The D0uchbags at CHRIST HOSPITAL in Jersey city keep billing me $12,000 for something my insurance company has paid already.

And yes, they are threatening to send me to collections.....

Basically they got paid. The insurance company and them had a bit of a go around on the amount, but the check was cashed.

The hospital says that I owe them the money. Basically, they are trying to get me involved so I can move it along.

The insurance company wont give me a copy of the cancelled check. They cant get through to the hospital. The hospital wont talk to me unless they have a cancelled check.

I want to friggin poke my eye out with a red hot poker!!!!



(and the fact it, I dont owe the money and it will be resolved, but they are D0uchbags!!!)


UPDATE::: So after 2 hours on the phone it LOOKS like it might be resolved. I really appreciate all the advice everyone. For 3 months I have been writing down names, times, numbers and notes on the phone calls. I finally did a 3 way call with the hospital and insurance. So it should be cleared up. Thanks again!!!

are u getting a bill from the hospital or the podiatrist? is the bill for the actual procedures, or are u getting a bill from the anesthesiologist? did u meet your deductible? also check if they billed in or out of network. make sure they billed IN network. contact your insurance company and get a copy of the canc. check. the docs office cant get it, but the patient can. also get an explanation of benefits.

make sure u know what ur getting billed for b4 u fight with any1.

No...its nothing you are saying. Its an issue of Insurance paid the bill, retracted it, paid it again. Hospital says 'oh no you didnt'. Insurance cant get through to hospital to give them a c apy of the canceled check. Hospital says they need the cancelled check.

I appreciate you asking all those questions, but it has nothing to do with network, deductibles etc.

well as long as u can get a copy of the canc. check, it should be fine. ALWAYS get the name and last initial of the person u speak to, time and date. and ALWAYS speak to a supervisor ,otherwise u wont get anything accomplished.
