ahhh my little 8lb dog just ate a whole twix chocolate bar!!! isnt chocolate poisonous for dogs?? I dont know how he got his paws on it. i'm worried!

This happened to our puppy last year. Different breeds are affected in different ways. He started to throw up a little - but he ate a king size bar of chocolate. We gave him a spoonful of Pepto Bismal (wasnt easy to do) a few times during the day until the vomitting stopped. It lasted one day & the next he was himself again. This is what our vet has recommended. Just keep an eye out for the first 24-48 hrs. HTH

my dog is 5 lbs and he ate almost half his weight in white chocolate once that he pulled out of the garbage.
I freaked and brought him to the animal hospital - crying.
they kinda laughed at me and said he'll prob get the runs for the next 24-48hrs but he'd be fine.

My dog eat a carrot and wound up in the Emergency room....$1900.00 later they told me she will be OK but any type of people food can be harmful to them.
