NWR: my puppy! sorry long!

Okay so on Sunday I was painting my sister's new Co op. . . at night FH comes to pick me up and his first words are 'Brutus is okay but I have to tell you something. . . .' I thought I was going to vomit when I heard that! Turns out that the STUPID HEAD next to FH's store put out RAT POISON in an area that he knows TWO DOGS PLAY IN!!!!!!! SO FH was in the back with Brutus and saw some of the poison come out of his mouth. . . so he rushed him to the animal hospital and they gave him an IV to make him vomit, finally it came out! Now, we have to give him a Vitamin K pill to combat any remaining poison that may be in his system AND go back in ten days to get complete blood work done to make sure he is okay. Meanwhile, I have to check him for 'bleeding from the eyes and bruising'!!!!! So, I think that the guy should pay for the almost $300 that we have to spend on all of this - but when FH confronts him he is like 'oh you dont blame me do you?' UM YEAH WE DO!!!!!!!!!!!! and now FH doesnt want to start trouble because he has to work next to him for who knows how long blah blah blah

Now, the more I think of it the madder I get - if FH had not seen Brutus eat that peice he would not have been here anymore and i would have been devestated. . . honestly i dont think i would have been able to handle that!!!!!! I am so thankful that he is okay but everytime i think about it i get sick!!!!!

Well thank God he is already...I have two doggies myself and I couldnt imagine going through something like that ....maybe its best just to lay off..to avoid any confrontations with this guy..

Thank GOD Brutus is OK! I would definitely have that guy pay for the bill... if he didn't put the rat poisoning down you wouldn't have had a $300+ bill!

Tilde, I'm so sorry to hear about your poor Brutus. I know how it is when you love your pet and want to protect them from harm. I totally understand where you are coming!

I don't know what I'd do if I were in the situation (as far as asking 'stupid head' to pay the bill). If he doesn't want to pay... I kinda understand that your FH doesn't want any tension around the work place or whatever... especially since he might not have known that the dogs would eat it (yes, stupid head indeed).

Just warn him not to do it again because now that he knows how harmful it is, he will be 100% responsible if it were to happen again.

AWW, poor Brutus Thank god ur FH saw him before things got bad!!! Even if the stupid head says he won't put the poison out any more, i would still be really careful, just in case. He might still put it out someplace where he thinks the dogs might not be able to get to or something.

I hope he pays at least a little bit toward the bill though. That stinks!!

OMG Matilde I'm so sorry to hear that about your puppy Without a doubt you should let that stupid ******* pay. Rat poison is deadly and thank god your FH saw something wrong with the dog otherwise it could have been worse. I find nothing wrong with giving your neighbor the bill and say here now pay it. If he refuses then say ok see you in court f*cker

lol i was wondering what that was - i wish someone could go say something to him bc i have big plans for the next time i see him but i know i will probably just avoid him or EVEN WORSE say hello and smile bc i am too nervous to do something
