It amazes me everytime I watch it!!!

One of the girls said I dont know what we spent but last I knew it was over 225K!!!!!

They had one girl from albuquerque on there.....Even if I had that money..I would never spend it on the sweet 16. I'd take that 100k and put it in a savings.....and give it to the girl when she's ready to buy a house....at that point she'll be glad I did it.

I mean....its great to do something nice. And if I had that much money who's to say I wouldn't spend a lot.........but not that much...heck no....people lose their minds

Yeah but to these people 100,000 is a drop in the bucket!! If i had it to spend it...I would do it!! It must be nice to 'spoil' your kids!! Not make them rotten of course, but give them nice things. These girls are rotten on the show!!

My 'Super Sweet 16' was in my friends back yard and I was soooo excited bc my mom/his mom let us have a keg of beer...yes the keg of beer was a HUGE highlight for me. I should add that we walked to my super sweet 16 kegger. A few of the guys had moped scooters. They were the 'rich boys.'

Did anyone see the episdoe with girl from Ocala, Florida that had Ciara perform at her Sweet 16?? That was nuts!!! I have family in Ocala and truth be told it's mostly trailer parks..who knew there was major $$$ down there???

I'm not saying that its not nice to do something like that. Of course its good to spoil your kids....but I don't think spending 200k is spoiling them, Its a lot worse than that. Kids should not 'expect' things like this. Thats ridiculous.

Whatever happened to the simple birthday cake in the backyard?

I realize everything changes..I mean hello...look at our weddings....they have come a long way from what they were ten years ago...and we are spending a lot...but not on a sweet 16. Sorry but I disagree.

Ladies be honest. Since we are adults now and can laugh at these people. Do you think if your parents had the money that you'd throw yourself a lavish party as well. Think back to your HS days now. Your parents gave you a limitless or crazy budget for a party. You mean to tell me some of you wouldnt have a crazy party like on the show?
