NWR: Nails

I cannot get nailpolish to stay on my nails for more than a few hours without chipping. It drives me nuts.

I just painted my nails at home last night and now two of them are chipped.

I work in an office and am at the computer all day which i'm sure doesn't help, but this is ridiculous.

I have tried gel manicures and while I like them, they are too expensive for me to keep up with right now.

Any tips on good polish that won't chip off my nails in seconds?

Crashing..I haven't tried it but they have DIY gel manicure sets. Maybe those would last without the expense?

The light to buy it is like $80, and I'm not so sure I would be able to do it myself lol.

I have tried those and they are too hard for me to apply. I get frustrated too easily.

Make that four chipped nails. This is unbelieveable. My nails just reject polish lol.

my nails held my last polish for over a month. not nicely but they didnt chip/ break. they looked bad but whatever.

so, i go to the nail place saturday afternoon with nice nails! because i was nervous they'd break in the last week & a half. after all that work! they cut them a little shorter than i'd like, they gave me some new girl who passed me on halfway thru- so the other girl started at the beginning. i had somewhere to be and i was almost late!!!

and 1 day later, one of my freakin nails broke. yesterday, another did. now i have to get tips on them for the wedding. FML!!

im sure i would have broken some anyway, especially bc im cleaning my whole house before my mom stays over during honeymoon.... but IM STILL MAD AT THIS NAIL PLACE!!!

I HATE when they switch during the manicure. At least have the courtesy to finish!

I never let them cut mine. I just ask them to file. They still file shorter than I want.

I have an at home gel kit. You can find deals on sites like Hautelook and Gilt. The one I have is by NaiLuv.

Maybe you should shop around for a place to get a gel mani. I've been to places where it's $20. It lasts for 2 weeks so it's not that much more than going weekly for a regular mani that chips after 2 days.

My nail place does the gel mani for $25. I normally wear tips but every few months I take them off for a few weeks to let my nails breathe, I get a few gel manis in the meantime, like now lol. Will have the tips put back onright bbefore the wedding day.
