NWR... Need a Gift Idea

for a 13 year old Girl.
I was 13 many, many years ago. I have no clue what these girls want now.

FH and I have his cousin's Bat Mitzvah next month. We figured we'd get a gift instead of money. Any ideas?

For a Bat Mitzvah, a would give money IMO. If not, maybe a piece of jewelry? Don't know how much you want to spend, but the Tiffany link bracelet with the dangling heart is always a nice gift to get a girl of all ages.

I would have to agree---Tiffany jewelry is always popular with the young girls

My step sister's daughter (my step neice?) had a Bat Mitzvah last year.
We gave her a really pretty necklace (a Jewish Star pendant) that we got at a Judaica shop on 33rd street.
She loves it!
I'm not a fan of wearing religious medallions, but she loves it; she goes to a very Jewish camp during the summer and she said she got tons of compliments. She wears it all the time. We also engraved the date on the back.

Money is always great... but if it's for a Bat Mitvah, Tiffany has a beautiful Necklace with the star of david... that would be nice...

that also sounds perfect.....jewelry is always a great choice....I like it better than money only b/c its something that is remeniscient of the day. Money is kind of impersonal for a 13 yr. old....but always a great backup!

Thanks ladies!! We were thinking a gift instead of money b/c it's something she'll use. Money always gets put away for another day.

I love the jewelry idea... Tiffany's or a pretty Jewish star of David.

Never can go wrong with anything from Tiffany's.

Also, I work in several Middle Schools, and all the girls are obsessed with their Louis, Coach, Burberry purses. They all wear the smaller ones which aren't too expensive. Just a thought!

Oh... thanks! That's a great idea too. I'll have to hit the Short Hills mall soon.

I agree...anything brand name is the way to go with little girls these days.

FH and I got my cousin a Tiffany's key ring and a coach wristlet for her batmitzvah. Fortunoff also has really pretty Star of David necklaces....
