NWR- Need apartment

NWR- Need apartment

Sadly, DH and I have to move (the owner sold our apartment)

Our lease is up December 1 but we will be able to get out one month early so we are looking now. I am so sad that the housing market's the way it is because we can not afford a home just yet.

We are looking for an apartment but it difficult with what we need.

1) 2- bedroom
2) close to LIRR (preferrably walking distance)
3) parking for cars- if only one space than street parking must be available.
4) looking to spend between $1300-$1550.

Any leads greatly appreciated. Trying to avoid a realtor fee.

What town are you looking for?

Try Valley Stream and check out Craiglist. Lots of good stuff on there without the broker fee.

Check Craiglist and newsday.com.

Both will have apartments by owner, so you can avoid the agents fees.....

I just moved in May and had the same requirements and didnt find anything too spectacular without a brokers fee.

I ended up in Mineola which is super convenient to LIRR (about a 40 minute commute) and you can definitely get a 2 bedroom for that price range
good luck!
