is it inappropriate to have shower guests participate in a baby pool? The would have to pick a date on a calendar and indicate sex, weight, height etc.
If Yes,
how much $$ collected goes to the parents when the baby is born??? Would it be 60% for the new parents and 40% for the winner?
Please help, I am just helping out with the games for a very good friends baby shower...

I think that sounds like fun. I've never actually seen it done before, but I would participate.

Re: NWR - Need baby shower help
Speaking as a parent, any money won should be for the parents and the child. Not to someone invited to the shower. Just doesn't seem right to me, so I don't think a pool is a good idea. If your going to do height, weight etc, then the person who guesses right should get a gift certificate or something.

Re: NWR - Need baby shower help
I know that is what I am torn about....the $ situation, when we do it at work we usually split it...but I am not so sure what to do at a shower where the guests already put $$ in for a gift and then would put in more $$ to be in the pool..
I think its s fun idea just not so sure how to work the $$ aspect...unless some of the $$ money goes to a $20 gift card or something maybe...
