I don't know that he's snapped - he called FH this a.m. to tell him that I didn't want to talk to him and it was a normal conversation - from what i hear.

WOW. I think he is probably SO overwhelmed with what is going on in his wife's life and he doesn't know how to react to everything anymore. It has taken such a toll on him I am sure. He just needs someone to take it out on and use as an emotional punching bag. So Sorry
Maybe you can go over there and do something nice for the two of them, be the bigger person despite his mean things, because he is going through a tough time as well and your friend will always love your company.

wow barb, i don't even know what to say. i'm sure your friend appreciates everything you have done for her, its just so weird that her husband will just flip like that. i would talk to him to try to clear the air.

its most likely a rough time for hum and as harsh as it may sound, he propobably saw you as a crutch. With yoru help, he could breathe a bit. Now that your distant, per say, he has to do everything mental and physical. Of course its no excuse for him to treat you this way, but at the same time, he may have no one else to go to.
If it were me, id answer and apologize if he feels that way but you have done all that you can do, and since she is your friend, you would appreciate any issues coming from her. You were helping HER out, you were/are there for HER, not him.

Wow.... that is such a shame that you were so kind and you are now being treated like this. Try to talk with him calmly and find out what is going on, if not, I would just not answer the phone. That isn't right!
