I think that I have a suggestion that will make you both happy! FH likes the yellow, you not so much. I think that if it were a different yellow, it would look much warmer. I think that a yellow with a goldish tint to it would be nice. We painted our office Chestertown Buff...here's a pic I found of it:

The room is so welcoming and not bright to the point that it feels like crayon yellow. Hpe you like and HTH : )

yes i really like it but think it might be al ittle dark.. im worried that if its too dark it will make the room look smaller... you know when you put paint up sometimes its darker then expecter.. but i think that color irs really pretty and works great in that room! thanks for posting!

You don't think that that bright yellow with white cabinets will be too bright? You may want to consider a softer yellow JMO

The ONLY reason why I am saying anything is because FH went through this over the summer when we bought tons of paint samples and put them up in our house. We not only wanted neighboring rooms to blend well, but we wanted to make sure we weren't making the rooms look too small/bright or dark. We only liked a few of the tons of samples we bought...once up on your wall, with your lighting situation (which totally changes the look of a color), what looked good in one picture may look horrible on your wall and vice versa. I know that we tried hard to balance a bright room/colorful room with something more subdued to tone it down. If not, you'll have a really loud room that you'll defintely get tired of fast and have a hard time to decorate. Hope that I haven't sounded anti-what you were trying to say lol I am really just trying to help you with my own recent experience which was a loooongggg process!

Ooh, I think that that color I posted would go GREAT with browns. IN fact, the room that is right outside of our office is in a light brownish/tan color and it blends nice. You should try out a sample...it doesn't look too dark once dried and with white cabinets, it will really warm it up and it's such a welcoming color to begin with, that you'll love hanging in your kitchen!
