Blinds you can do a nice egg shell color. Carpret I like light tan, which I have it goes with everything.. And I have a cherrywood dining set with tan sueade chairs I will try and post for you I need to find my thanksgiving pics.

hard to say w/o a picture of the room! Depends on the amount of light in the room and wall color.....
(I'm pro-wood floor, since it's easy to clean and pretty.... are you certain you want wall to wall? maybe wood and a throw rug? )

That sounds real good. But, I didn't want to do that for an apt. We are not planning on staying here long.

WOW thats very similar to my living room lol...My walls are a chai latte color( i think that was the color lol) my rug is a light tan beigish color lol, and furniture is cherrywood...I also have brown curtains, and i dont know what color the blinds are but egg shell color is close lol...Theres also some hints of orange, like orange metallic type colored vase, orange chenille throw, large brown candle holder but you put an orange candle inside of them bc it shows through, hard to explain. Plus with the hardwood floors showing
we just redid ours we got a new living room set the color is fern. we went with gold panels and a beautiful sage scarf with a decorative rod on the windows. our walls are french vanilla

my parents just did their family room in those colors. They used rust (reddish), burnt orange, browns, and tans. It's very warm looking. I liked it.

Re: NWR: NEED HELP!! Re-doing my livingroom
I personally would try to keep things a little lighter around the chocolate, or it starts to come out a little masculine. Also, sectionals eat up a LOT of room - so it can make the room look small if you start to do a lot of dark around it. And full carpet can be suffocating in a dark room.
SO... have you considered wood floors with just a nice area rug? I would go with a lighter rug that has some of your accent colors in it.
I see 3 real possibilities in my mind.
You could go traditional and build your colors with cream, tan and ivory.
You could go modern and put an accent wall of deep copper with some deep red thrown in around the room. These curtains kind of capture the look of copper and red accents: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=107774&COL=610&RN=128 look at the detail on the cinnabar ones.
You could go for a sort of asian theme with pale blue and hits of cherry blossom.
Whatever you do... I am certain it is going to look GORGEOUS!

Re: NWR: NEED HELP!! Re-doing my livingroom
I always use Better Homes and Gardens Website; for either where to place my furniture or how to color the walls.
THe link below allow you to pick a room and then change the colors of everything in side of the room.. it may not be your own furniture but it helps Color a Room
and if you arent sure where you want to place furniture you when you open that page you there is another link called Arrange a Room
This allows you to pick furniture and then arrange it in the room however you like.
