oK, so before I make a scene or make an a$$ outta myself, please help me!!!
As some of you know I have had it with the job I am currently at. BEYOND FED UP. I got a promotion, no raise, and my raise keeps getting pushed...they poo on me left and right... they could care less about my wedding so on and so forth...
So this morning, they decided that they want to send me to another state for 1/2 a week to do the job of someone else, a position that has nothing to do with me. I DO NOT feel like this is my place AT ALL. For a number of reasons #1. If i screw up its my tush. Since I have no clue what to do... I will most likely make BIG mistakes #2. This is not the 1st time they have done this to me. They always put jobs on me that have nothing to do with me, have me do my best but still end of screwing up, and in the end of the day SCREAM at me for my mistakes. 3. THere is NO WAY that this is in my job description. NO WAY. #4. They degraded me in the meeting stating that I am not a team player... and continued to poo on me to the point where I never cry at work and I went to the bathroom and cried.
All my life I have been walked all over. I think i am being abused. And I want it to STOP.
I want to quit now. I was going to do it the smart way, find a job first, but I can't take the insults, the pressure and the STRESS anymore. It makes me sick. Literally. LIke I am never sick and I blame this place for the cold I have now.
Should I go to HR? I dunno what to do!!! If I get fired, will I still get unemployment? Or will they figure out a way to prevent it. Because the truth is this why they are doing this too me... b/c they want me gone and its easier for me to quit then get fired.
I need help fast!!!!

Re: NWR: need job related advice ASAP!!!
Don't quit!!! If you go to HR and explain your situation there is nothing they can do to you, especially if you explain yourself in a calm collected manner. If they fire you for trying to resolve a situation you would definitely be eligible for unemployment. But if you're not comfortable talking to your boss then HR is the next best step. Just be honest.

STOP!!! One thing I learned... they can read what you post online.. even if you're not posting at work, so if you 'mess up' in attempt to get fired they can deny you unemployment because you're not working upto standards.
Ask to see your application, there should be an area where it asks if you're willing to travel, if you put yes.. your hands are tied, if it says no... they can not make you.
Simply tell them, 'i do not want to travel'... this is not my job and i will not be compensated for it.
How can they see what you are posting?
This is what I'm told by ppl I know who are in HR and other positions, they can access your facebook, myspace, blogs, etc and see if you're posting anything related to work and/or lack of.
I try not to believe it because I personally think its a crock of sh!t, but I've had more then one person tell me this.
I've seen it happen firsthand in cases I've handled for employment law disputes. (mind you I continue to post, i'm just careful about what I say about my job when i'm frustrated). what's even more frightening is that i googled myself today and the first thing on the list was my facebook page. always be careful ladies.
I work for in HR for a company that tracks internet usage... we can see every site employees go on but unless we click the links themselves they can't see what you are posting. Like LIW.com would come up but unless we clicked the link we couldn't read the thread. if you work for a larger company odds are they do track it but more times than not they don't do anything with the information unless the sites you are going on come up in the 'high risk' category or if your boss starts complaining about productivity. I still wouldn't risk posting anything negative about your job while at work but unless you're trashing the company or anyone specifically they can't fire you for being frustrated.
