My FH and I need to move furniture from our separate apartments into our new place end of June. Does anyone know of a good moving company we can use?

Re: NWR: Need licensed, reliable, affordable MOVERS
Moving Right Along is in Queens - I don't know if they're also located in LI, though I know they move out there. Members of my family have used them and have nothing but great things to say about their service.

Ken's Moving, based in Maspeth. I've used them once, a friend used them 3 times in 25 years, and I recommended them to another friend who will be using them this coming weekend.

I am TELLING you to use Shea Movers in Queens.
I moved from Secaucus to NYC (moved in with FH).
They were reliable, on time, professional. They knew what they were doing, they had EXCELLENT communication with me for the 2 months leading up to the move.
They are EXCELLENT and I have nothing bad to say. OH, and I got EVERYTHING in one piece. Not one thing was broken. (I also packed VERY well)
And the price was VERY reasonable. They charged by the housr and some travel. For 4 something hours the price was about $500. They were the most reliable, and best price I found. Plus its a family owned business so you are supporting a local business. I delt with the owners and it was great! FM me with any questions.

I just used Ben Hur (last week) to move from NYC (3 flights of stairs walk up) to Stamford, a lot of stuff, for about $800. They were excellent. I priced out Flat Rate and Schleppers, but Ben Hur's quote was by far the best. You will also do better if you look to move on an 'off' date (i.e. not at the very end or very beginning of a month).
