NWR: need my 2011 girls support

so ive been a little *** on the hunt for a new job-ive been wanting to get into this office for about 8 months- the perks there are unheard of including a paid vacation- yes i mean an ACTUAL vacation if the office hits the goals its supposed to

needless to say i dont have that at my office, but i like my bosses- i feel terrible giving my notice- so mch so that its made me sick- i hate that conversation, i know i have to worry about me and my career as were getting married and trying to buy a house now, but i still dont wanna give my notice today

pray for me girls!!

good luck! i know that resigning is the one of the hardest conversations you can have, but just remember that you're doing this to better yourself and they'll understand.

It's hard but once it's done, you'll be able to breathe easier and move on to your next challenge at the new office :)

Good luck. I went through the same thing when i gave notice at my last job. I was actually sick to my stomach and cried when i gave my notice. They were such a good group of women but i had to do what i had to do for my family.

Be strong and just think of your paid vacation

ugh, i hate that feeling!! i went through the same thing at my old job. my boss tried convincing me to stay by offering me a raise, but i knew i had to stick to my guns.

my reason for leaving was that i was moving from CT back to NY, so i really couldn't budge. i was still distraught about it for a week before i told my boss. but once it was done, it was like a huge weight had been lifted.

good luck, you'll feel so much better once today is done!!

Goood Luck!!! I've going through the same frantic job hunt as well! I barely have a future in my current company and I need a change asap. However I am friends with my manager (I'm going to his wedding in November) and mos of my co workers so I know how you feel about giving your two weeks notice. Just start off with how pleased you were to work with them for all these years and how it was a great company but you found another position a another company that represented your interest and your future a little more. Depending on your company and your manager and how big of an asset you are to your company will weigh on how they react to your notice. At my first company, when I gave my 2 weeks, the manager was pretty cool about it, but after a while he tried to convince me to stay but I knew that company was not for me. Just remember its about you and your future and not hurting the companies feelings! They can hire someone else! ha

Good Luck again!
