I'm going to a baby shower at work on Friday, and I think I am going to bake these. The bottom is a peanutbutter cookie. What kind of hershey kisses should I use? I'm thinking either original, zebra, or the caramel ones. But I don't know if peanutbutter and caramel might be wierd. I ask you girls because I'll probably get the supplies tonight and bake tomorrow.
Original, my mom makes those at Christmas time and they are YUMMY !!!!!

Thanks. The only reason why I thought to do different kinds was that the picture in the book had the original and the zebra ones.

I make those all the time!! I would say you might want to do the regular or hugs, i am afraid that if you do the caramel ones then when you put the kisses on the cookies, you know how the cookie is still kinda hot? well if the bottom of the kiss melts then the caramel will drip onton the cookie, you know what i mean??
Hey, the only other thing is that you need to make them well in advance of the shower b/c the kisses get warm when you put them on the cookie and you need to wait for them to cool down completely otherwise when you pile one on top of the other for transportation purposes, the chocolate kisses get kind of ruined.

The shower is friday afternoon. Could I make them Thursday evening and be okay? I wouldn't pack them up to go until Friday morning.

Oh, and do they have to be refridgerated or can they stay at room temp? Kisses can stay at room temp so it should be fine, right?
Good point about the caramel dripping onto the cookies. I didn't think of that.

Hey, i don't think they have to be refrigerated and if you make them thursday they will definitely be good for friday. they are fun to make... but i always eat all the extra kisses (you never use a full bag of them).... it is just dangerous to have in the house Good luck with the baking... you will do great!!!! Now I want a cookie
