NWR: Need some advice

NWR: Need some advice

Please don't quote because I am going to have to take this down so FH does not find it.

So I have been sad all day... between being sick and just frustated about life. So I was on facebook today I happened to notice my ex-fiance had commented on my friends profile so I clicked on his name. And of course up pops a picture of him and his new gf who shares my name. For some reason it really upset me. I am not sure why. Maybe because it is that time of the month I don't know but I started to cry. I did say in my head I was happy for him. It was a very bad breakup for the two of us. I love my new FH. He is everything to me so I am not sure why this effected me so much. And now I can't stop thinking about it. Am I crazy??? Does this mean anything???

Sorry so long

I think I would feel/do the same. When I found out my ex of 6 years got engaged, I had to leave my house b/c started crying and didnt want FH to see. In my case, I was kind of sad b/c I was happy for him...but sad that he isnt a part of my life anymore. I am not one to cut ties with people. We broke up b/c I wasnt in love with him anymore...and we stayed friends...and then he cut me off as a friend when he started dating the new girl. I was having a mix of emotions when I found out he was getting married.

I doubt it means much that you were crying. Girls are sensitive. And maybe you were crying out of happiness, maybe sad that the break up was bad...or maybe you were just overly emotional at the moment. I wouldnt think much of it! ; )

I think those kinds of emotions are totally normal...whenever anyone sees their ex they tend to romanticize or think about the past.

I wouldn't read into it too much. It clearly brought up some memories from the past that you didn't want to revisit - whether they were good or bad memories, they're still kinda filed away in the 'don't go there' part of your brain.

Just remember that all relationships are learning experiences and it takes awhile to learn what you want! (This is true for romantic relationships, friendships, boss/employee relations, etc...) And now that you've learned what you want, you HAVE what you want in your FH!

Thanks girls. I woke up this morning still thinking about it but hopefully it will go away soon.

It will. It's just the initial shock of it. Perhaps a little retail therapy will help? Hee hee. It always helps me!

ur totally justified... first of all pms never helps the situation....

but a friend of mine and I were having this discussion yesterday... loving ur FH doesn't change ur past, this person still meant something to u and one point and in saying that cn definitly still make you cry...

don't be sad!!

It is totally normal.. I know where you are coming from, i was with my ex for 4 years and lived together and i broke it off cause i had too cause of things he did, the worst part is i still work with his mom, who is a dear friend of mine. so when i hear things like he is dating it def hits a nerve but just think about how happy u really are, and you broke up for a reason! Dont worry its normal... it has to be! lol

Im sorry you are going through all this. Hopefully it was the initial shock of seeing him with someone else. I sure it will past.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. I actually live about 2 mins from my ex and we live in the same neighborhood. I have seen him out with other girls and it doesn't bother me one bit. I say 'hi' and keep moving. I give it no further thought. I'm sure its because deep down inside I have not one feeling for him. I guess in time this type of stuff won't bother you anymore. Don't read too much into your feelings it could be the PMS.
