Ok So my cousin who is like my sister. who is 14. Is staying with me untill after my wedding. Hopefully all summer. I found out last night that her best friend supposedly does drug. This girl is really bad news. SHe dyed my cousins hair after I spent alot of $$ oh it to get it fixed and then she dyed it PINK!!! So now she has PInk bangs for my wedding in 3 weeks. This girl has really changed my cousin alot and we don't like it. So her mom has tried to talk to her and even told her that she can't see this girl anymore. But she don't listen. So I want to talk to her about it but I don't know what I should say Cause I don't want her to get mad at me or even distance herself from me cause we have a close relationship. So I need help girls.

well first talk to your cousin and try to see what this girl is about. Talk to her as a friend, you have an advantage over her parents, bc she might be more open to talk to you. I would sit and talk to my cousins too whom both are younger than me. I would give advice to them the way i would to a friend. Tell them about my friends who got into drugs and whats happened to them. It helped for them to see that oh wow she knows people similar to the ones I do, and that i was also around all this stuff too and that i wasnt judging. Just be open with her. I also spoke to them about mistakes i made when i was younger and how i wish i could go back and change things but i cant, and how my mistakes effected me later on in life.
Whether her friend is a bad influence or not, doesn't matter to her. This girl probably gives your cousin the acceptance she is looking for, and the friendship she probably doesnt find in others. So be the same to her, and be the good influence in her life.

It might be better if you try to talk to her, sounds like you are very close with her, and girls at that age never want to hear it from there mother!! good luck!!

Me and mY sister always tell her about mistakes and Not to do drugs and what it can do to you. And she knows frist had cause her father and step fater both do drug. So she knows. But I know she has very low self esteem and this girl probably makes her feel better about her self. I'll try tonight cause me and Mike are going to take her out with us. He talks to her alot also cause he has been in these situations with friends before.
