NWR-Need your opinion-UPDATED

Original post by M&S Sept12006

So FH just called me and we're getting together with our bridal party tomorrow night for dinner and drinks afterwards. Now, one of FH's groomsmen is dating this trick that I truly honestly cant stand! I dont want to come off like a biatch but I dont want to associate with her either (he separated from his wife whom I was really cool with-and I miss her ) ... so what I should do? I dont want to associate with her...so should I let her know how I feel or just be civil and try to avoid her...

**UPDATE**
So...just wanted to let you girls know that all went well on Saturday. We all had a blast! We did make a small talk, but other than that I was surrounded by other people which I was very happy about. She is still not one of my favorite people, but can definitely be 'tolerated'...

Thanks girls! I will just go and have a good time and not even think about my resentment towards her...I'll behave

If not, you'll be hearing about some serious hair yanking on Monday! Just kidding.

good luck....and remember

YOU ARE THE BRIDE!!!

Of course be civil, you do not have to like her but there is no reason to be nasty to her...IMO

Never said anything about being nasty to her. Its hard when you dont like somebody to enjoy their company. Im going to be surrounded by people I like and are special to me and she sort of 'puts' herself out there as if shes hot $hit, when she really is not...I really dont want to start drama with her but I dont want to associate with her either. I think my post was more of a 'vent' looking for support from girls that have experienced this before...

i agree - it has nothing to do with being nasty - its the EFFORT that you have to put into being NICE when you don't want to. i ignored a person for months and it was physically draining. i was never rude or disrespectful - but it would upset me to have to have her in my company.....if you really think its going to piss off your day - then see if something else can be worked out....

what does FH think??

He thinks Im a drama queen...although he does see where I get those feelings about her from. But you know how guys are...nothing bothers them...

you don't need to be her best friend, but always be the better person and just be nice! FH's good friend was dating an absolute loser/cheater/biatch that i went to school w/, and i had to be a nice hostess when she came to my apartment. it was the hardest thing ever to make conversation w/ someone i hate (and mind you never would have associated w/ otherwise) but i did it to keep the piece!
