NWR: Need Your Positivity for my Pooch--UPDATE!

My dog has been making the weirdest noises in the last few days. Something that sounds like a mix between trying to clear a stuffy nose and choking. Her breed (she's a half yorkie and half poodle) sometimes are succeptible (sp?) to collapsed tracheas, but I PRAY it is not that.

Anyway, please send her your positive thoughts for today. I am taking her to the vet at 12.

My dog (Shih Tzu) use to make noises as if she was choking and trying to grasp for air. Thankfully it stop. the good thing is that you are going to the vet. I am sure everything will be fine.

i just got back and just like some of you girls predicted, she is just experiencing what most little breeds do--her trachea narrows and she is 'gasping' for air. He said it looks to be like a mild case now so he gave me some cough medicine to help alleviate any irritation it might cause.

But, she will be okay!!!!!

i just got back and just like some of you girls predicted, she is just experiencing what most little breeds do--her trachea narrows and she is 'gasping' for air. He said it looks to be like a mild case now so he gave me some cough medicine to help alleviate any irritation it might cause.

But, she will be okay!!!!!

My chuihuahua does the same thing. It's nothing. I rub his belly and pat his back at the same time and he stops.

I'm glad she's going to be okay. Lately my puppy has been sounding like he's choking and trying to throw up. FH is convinced that he's doing it for attention because he only does it when I'm leaving him. He's going to the vet to be neutered this week so I'll have to ask them about it then. Maybe FH is right and he needs a doggy psychiatrist for separation issues!

I'm sorry to laugh, but

Awww maybe HE is upset that you are leaving!!!!! But maybe he is having some issues with his nose or something and that's why it sounds that way? Either way, I hope he's okay!!!!!!
