i have done it once....i honestly will never do it again. It was fa-reezingg and my toes were numb....well maybe its my fault shoulda dressed warmer....and once you are in the gates...they dont let you out after a certain time....i think by 9 i could be wrong...forget about using the bathroom after....guys were peeing in bottles...it was gross. I would rather stay home in my comfy pjs curled up on the couch with my love and my baby boy.

I completely agree with this. I did it once and it was fun just to be able to say that I did it - but I would never do it again. So cold and long for not much reward...

Re: NWR: New Years in Times Square
i have heard enough horror stories from ppl that have went, that i really have no desire to go. if you have $$, there are some places that have a view of the ball dropping. i would rather spend the $ (one year...not this year obviously) and do that, then to stay outside in the cold with no access to a bathroom
in the past we have done the catering hall thing which is always fun -- open bar, food, and a DJ. woot woot!

the closest thing I have ever done to this was to reach Columbus circle and not be able to move beyond that point. It was an awesome experience, one that I have no desire to EVER repeat in my entire life.
Like Janis said better to go to a party that has a view of the ball.

I went once, don't think I will ever do it again, it was fun to say I did it once, but it was freezing and don't think it was really worth it
This year we are having our RD on NYE and then turning it into a party at our house

I agree with this...we did it one year and it was great...but I think there were more negatives than positives...
But I also went to a club in NYC one year and that was awesome!!! Same sort of atmosphere but access to a bathroom

It's definitely an experience. I went in '99 and I will never go again. Freezing cold, way over crowded and the restaurants charged people to use their bathrooms.

Re: NWR: New Years in Times Square
i have never wanted to stand out with no bathroom for hours so Ive never done it and I dont do well with big crowds.
I have gone to a club in NYC for new years which was all you can eat and drink and it was so much fun Id rather do a party like that then sit outside.
i have - it was nuts. we never got close enough to see anything - there was a million people there everyone was squished in together. I was so close to the guy in front of me I was touching his prostate...

I loved New Years in TS, but I have to agree w/ the other girls, never again! It's inhumanely cold and honestly, I'd rather just go to a party!
