NWR nightmare (sorry but I need to vent)
What a horrible morning I had!
I was supposed to get a CT scan this morning. I thought it would be pretty routine except that my oncologist wanted them to rule out blood clots (he said I'm at a slightly higher risk cause of my treatment).
It took THREE technicians over FOUR hours to come to the conclusion that my veins were not cooperating and they couldn't start the IV. You think they'd figure that out after two or three stabs..but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....SEVEN (that's right SEVEN) tries on my right arm (with three collapsed veins) TWO tries on my left arm and TWO tries on my right ankle.
Then my brainiac oncologist tells them to send me back to his office where one of the chemo nurses will start the IV and send me back for the CT scan.
By the time I got to my oncologist's office I had HAD IT.
I don't quite remember what I said, but I know I was hysterical crying at him and I do clearly remember telling him he can shove his procedures up his A S S because I refuse all further treatment and doesn't that s u c k for me because now apparently I can't even get a morphine drip on my deathbed.
He did postpone my tests for a month and the nice nurse gave me some oatmeal cookies and ginger ale. But I'm still FUMING!!!!!
