NWR - Nutri-system or Jenny Craig

Do any of you have any experiences with either of these 2 weight loss programs?

Any info and advice you have would be great.

Okay, I gave Nutri-System a try. The meals aren’t that bad, but there’s a lot of prep work and supplementals and when I got a new job, I just couldn’t do it anymore with time and such. I had lost around 6 pounds in a month or so probably because of the diet and the increase in exercise, but when I started eating normal food again, my metabolism must have been thrown off, so I gained back 5 of those pounds! Frustrating.

Now that I’m losing weight for getting married, I’m just eating healthy (usually a Lean Cuisine for lunch) and exercising, but I may try Weight Watchers.

I am trying to lose for my wedding as well. I am just concerned with the program being very pricey and the food being no so good....what kind of prep work exactly did you have to do?

It isn’t the cheapest thing out there, ecspecially when I quit halfway through my second month and have tons of food left over.

I've done both.

Jenny Craig's food tastes a lot better than Nutri System, but it is more expensive. JC will run you $100+/week in the beginning, NS will cost about $300 for a month and then they usually throw in a week free.

Both work, but it's just not realistic to rely on pre-packaged meals long-term. If you're looking to jump start your weight loss, I might reccomend doing either for a month or two, but for lasting results, I'd say try a plan like Weight Watchers.

My FSIL uses nutrisystem. She said it works awesome. you get a lot of food.

My friend LOVESSSSSS Jenny Craig. She's already lost 7.5 lbs! Its only been a month or two!

She RAVES about the food!

And yeah, she said it costs about $100/week. But I guess that is in place of your food shopping....so maybe it's worth it?

I did JC and lost 25 pounds with them

the food does cost a lot in the beginning, but then you learn how to eat meals on your own without their food.

you should try Weight Watcher...its cheap, easy and it works! You can do it online and there is no need to go to meetings. I am down 6 pounds in 5 weeks. I LOVE IT

Fh and I did nutrisystem and it worked great. In the 1st month I lost 28 I think. Maybe 25. Anywho, FH had an allergic reaction. Their is glutin in everything and he broke out in these nasty blisters all over. So needless to say we had to quit. But it did work great!!!!
