NWR: NY Unclaimed Funds

NWR: NY Unclaimed Funds

I am working on a marketing piece at work involving the Unclaimed Funds department. I'm sure most of you have heard of this before but if you haven't....search your name on the NY department of unclaimed funds website:

NY Unclaimed Funds

Enter your last name first and then your first name after it (don't use a comma). I have found soooo many family members on this website with money that NY is just holding on to! We are doing a campaign with it at work and I just wanted to share it with any of you who didn't know this site existed. Good luck!!!!!

Found out about this through my Uncle about 2 mnths ago. Just got a check for $113.48!! Yippee!!

**You don't know how much until the check comes. You have to fill out a form, notorize it and wait...over a month.

if you print it out it might say it on the claim form...otherwise, when they verify its actually yours, they will notify you with the amount.

How do you claim the unclaimed funds?

Once I googled my last name and this type of website came up and showed that my grandparents were on it.

Re: NWR: NY Unclaimed Funds

Can you claim for dead people?
Do you think they'll know if the people are dead?

ETA: My grandparents are both on the list and they have both passed
