I am working on a marketing piece at work involving the Unclaimed Funds department. I'm sure most of you have heard of this before but if you haven't....search your name on the NY department of unclaimed funds website:
Enter your last name first and then your first name after it (don't use a comma). I have found soooo many family members on this website with money that NY is just holding on to! We are doing a campaign with it at work and I just wanted to share it with any of you who didn't know this site existed. Good luck!!!!!

Can you claim for dead people? Do you think they'll know if the people are dead?
ETA: My grandparents are both on the list and they have both passed
You will need to provide a death certificate. And your parents may need to do it if they are next of kin.
And if you find one you want to claim, just click on it and follow the prompts to claim it...and print out the form

HA! Tell him if he doesn't care about it, he can sign the form and you keep the $50 that might come in the mail from it! $50 is like the cost of a BM gift or something!
