NWR: NYC Teachers

did anyone apply to teach summer school?
when do they tell us if we got it?

i didnt apply this year because i will be on HM the entire month of july.

last year we found out the day before school ended... arent they considerate?

Do you ladies know where I can send my resume' for a job in NYC? I've applied to the Bklyn office but I haven't heard anything.

are you serious? and it starts really soon this year too - July 2nd - i thought it normally starts AFTER the 4th of July

yeah the deadline was MAy 16 - i was just wondering when they would tell us if we got the job or not

They will only tell us if we got the job! They are waiting on test scores. As of right now, only the ELA scores are in.

Plus instead of having all the kids that received a 1 and inviting those that got low 2's, they are only having kids that scored a 1.

Last year, they had kids that scored a 2 during the regular school year and then got a 1 over the summer and they were left back. It was a huge problem where I am.
