NWR: NYC Teachers I have a ?

Ok, so I am going crazy sending out my resume to a bunch of schools in Queens and Brooklyn. I was wondering if any one you can answer a question.

On the HR website, I noticed postings for Intervention/Prevention teachers? What does that mean? Is that a teaching position?

I only ask because I am certified 1-6 and I am also taking school counseling courses, so maybe that would be a good match for me.

OMG i am going crazy sending out my resumes too. I don't really know the answer to your question but I was just wondering how you were sending out your resumes? Are you mailing them, faxing them, or going to the schools?

I am faxing it. Last year, I took a day off of work to personally drop them off but I don't think it made a difference. Most of the time the principal was busy or not in the office and I handed it to a secretary. Snail mail feels like it will take to long.

Other teachers usually tell me to fax it so I guess it is okay. At first I din't like the idea but it is efficient.
